Homemade mocha frappuccino

If you are like me you have probably learned to like coffee prepared in any way. Black, sugar over load, cream over load, you name it if at least contains 45% coffee Ill drink it. But my favorite way for coffee to be prepared is a well made mocha frappuccino. So I thought Id give you one of my favorite frappuccino recipes that it just sweet enough but can be easily altered to fit your sweet tooth(:

For this recipe you'll need:
1 cup of freshly brewed coffee
1 cup of whole milk
(if you don't have whole milk on hand use half cream and half milk)
2 Tablespoons of white sugar
1/4 cup of chocolate syrup
2 cups of ice
Whipped cream (opt.)
Extra chocolate sauce (also opt.)

 Step 1. add:
 Cream
 Coffee
 Sugar
  and ice into the blender
Step 2. Blend well and add more sugar or coffee to taste if desired
Step 3. Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream and chocolate sauce and Enjoy!

If you make this Id love to hear what you thought of it!

our newest edition

A couple days ago our family did the unthinkable (in a good way)
we got another dog! Until last year when we got our golden retriever we've never really been big dog people but now here our family is with two "sweet as can be" dogs that love attention and affection

-Her name is Fiona
-She is 6 years old
-She only weighs 20 pounds which compared to our other 115 pound dog feels quite minuscule
-Everywhere I go she follows me
-She's a big fan of comfy beds and chairs
-She's just about as cute as can be:)

Summer adventures {adventure #1 Florida}

Here I am two weeks into summer and God has already blessed me with so many long lasting memories and adventures. One of these adventures was being able to go to florida on vacation as well as being able to see my dad graduate from seminary in Orlando. Here is a wave of pictures {all taken by Toots} from the trip.

All packed up!
We got up at three-fifteen and drove to the air port and this is me  at four-thirty in the morning staring up in space
(even though it doesn't look like it Im super excited)

Sunrise from above the clouds... So pretty

one night at sunset my fam and I went down to the beach during low-tide and collected sea shells on a sandbar and watched the sun set

My brother, Toots, and I made a work of "modern art" and if I may say so it was pretty epic when it was finished
Columbia is a spanish/cuban restaurant on a little island it was a really fun experience.

In florida there was a French cafe that served crepes, espresso, juice, ect. Many of the workers didn't know much English so they spoke French I was in 7th heaven.

We drove to Orlando for my dad's graduation and the church where the ceremony done was so beautiful!

Highlights of this trip:
-Getting to go swimming every day
-Trying all different nationalities of food
-Having family time
-Going "shelling"
-Traveling by way of airplane

Bummers of this trip:
-SUNBURNS!

Do you prefer the beach or the mountains?

13 before 13

It was 12:30am and I was as tired as can be, but I wanted to stay up. And this is what I got out my tired complexion
and loopy behavior the next day.

{13 before 13}

1. Get a SMASH book and start filling out the pages with my dreams, memories, ideas...ect
2. Make a Ramona t-shirt
3. Make up a host of characters, draw them, and then write at least one story about them
4. Go to a murder mystery dinner party-I did it!
5.Have a picnic lunch on the beach in while Im Florida
6. Attempt to make a fun summer skirt
7. Take a little character around to at least 3 of my main summer events and blog about their adventure from their perspective
8.Make a summer journal
9. Find a fun "Audrey" style outfit and wear it this summer
10. Finish the Harry Potter series
11. Finish reading my bible from where I am (John)
12. Go to a creperie this summer
13. Endeavor to have a bordom-free summer

chalk board wall

We've been re-doing Toot's old room into a kids hang out room and part of that re-doing was painting a chalk board wall. The thought of a plain black wall can be kind of depressing but being in front  of a chalk board wall is SO inspiring!

To prep the wall for drawing we have to rub chalk on it

 so fun!
If you can't tell from my red face I got a spectacular sunburn
about 15 pieces of chalk later we were done prepping
This reminds me of a patchwork quilt
 Almost ready for drawing!

Toots drew this picture of her camera isn't she just...
TALENTED
 Just some of my doodles

Oh how I love ramona!

Oh, how elephant mugs make the days so much brighter

It was a typical Saturday afternoon softball, baking endeavors, and tree climbing and well, Toots and I wanted some added adventure to our Saturday afternoon. Toots wanted film and I needed some pudding so we put two and two together and made an adventure out of it. So on went the helmets saddle bags and we were on our way to Target. The next hour was spent picking out some little treats for the fam, determining which animal cracker box suited our personalities better, picking out Mary Engelbreit stationary, and just exploring.

Red vines rule the world! Even though they taste disgusting they are my brothers favorite candy and are still pretty awesome.

 Oh, how I love nesquick!
My new elephant mug from World Market I can't wait to use it!

LOVE and elephants,
